Yorkshire Building Society has awarded the digital work to refresh its website to GraphicoDMG, following a competitive pitch.

Initially focusing on the savings area of the site, the work will build on the Society’s award winning application process, improving users’ online experience. The key objectives will be to encourage existing customers to invest more and across a broader range of products, and to attract new customers.

Yorkshire Building Society is the UK’s second largest building society with over 2 million members and a national network of 143 branches. GraphicoDMG’s role will initially focus on information architecture and usability. Ultimately the aim is to streamline the customers’ online journey making it easier and as straight forward as possible to invest with the Yorkshire online.

Nigel York, Yorkshire’s Web Design and Content Manager, said of the appointment: “The work we are doing with GraphicoDMG is part of a phased approach to updating our website. As customers increasingly use the internet – whether to research products and rates before coming in to branches or to invest directly – it is vital that the website gives them the information and reassurance they need as they make the critical decision to invest with us. We are confident that GraphicoDMG will revitalise the site and ensure that our online channel works even harder for us.”

Brian Taylor, GraphicoDMG Group Account Director said: “We’re excited to be working with Yorkshire Building Society. Although the Society has an extensive branch network, the online saver is a vital customer. The work we are doing with them will ensure that every customer’s journey is as easy as possible, whether they are close to a local branch or they only ever interact with the brand online.”
